great product.  hate filters.  This so far works great !!!

Easy to use and performs as stated.  

I purchased 2 and have been using for about 2 weeks now.  These are great humidifers.  I love the top fill feature. 

Haven't had it that long , but seems to be very good . Lets hope it s trouble free.

Works as advertised. Easy to fill and clean.

The fucntion and design of this item goes great with my needs and expectations and will help keep me comfortable through the dry winter times when heat drys up the air in my home

This unit has the potential to operate very quietly. At first it did not run so quiet, But after about 15-20 minutes of running it went super quiet. I guess the pump needed some time to settle in. If the blue light is bothersome i may suggest using some black electrical tape to cover the window but then again you would not be able to see the water level. You can also move it further away from your sleeping area so it does not interfere with you. Cleaning the unit is very easy compared to those other bulky detachable tank types. My overall satisfaction with this product is great. It does lack a few useful features such as a built in hygrometer and and an autoshut off feature when the water is out, Id think by the technology available today they would integrate these features into a humidifier.

This item is very quiet and easy to use.

Bought the HUT-200 after having two other humidifiers in the last 4 years. Didn't like the filter and wick model because of the maintenance and bought a cheaper ultrasonic that lasted 3 months before it quit. Like this model because of the top fill and amount of humidity it produces.  Best one I've found so far!

Just bought the product yesterday, on 12-29-2012. So far it seems to working very well. It is easy to refill, since the unit is next to the sink and my faucet pulls out like a spray nozzel. This is to good to be true. There seems to be a difference in the air quaility. We have a wood stove with a pot of water on it and the air in the house was very dry. This humidifier is doing a great job. I was wondering if you can buy the HUT-200 Demineralization Cartridges at the retail store?

This humidifier seems very well-constructed, and well designed.  Is functioning has expected, which is great considering I have purchased three other brand humidifiers in the last few years, and thi one has been the best quality one I have bought. 

To insure device delivers mist, clean the water level sensor with a Q Tip and white vineger periodically...I was about to return it when I tried this.

great little humidifier.  Love that I don't have to lug a heavy reservoir around.  Not happy that there is noting in the instructions or the advertising that tells you about having to buy de-mineralization cartridges.

i like the unit but the pump has a lot of trouble. if the pump motor  didnt have so mouch trouble i would give it 5 starsi hope if they make a better pump for this that they will send them to the oweners. i have 3 of them

Purchased the product, liked it very much then within a week it started making grinding noises and stopped working. I called the company and just received a new free of charge motor pump. Installed now and is working again. I particularly like the lighted water level to remind me to turn it off in the morning.

We enjoyed the quiet of this humidifier for a few weeks, then the bronze bushing in the pump wore a little and the pump would make only a loud chatter instead of pumping. As a temporary measure I put some faucet grease on the pump shaft. While the first application lasted only a few days, I was surprised that the second application has lasted for weeks. Ordered a replacement pump from Kaz and was pleased to see that the pump has been re-designed with plastic bushings.

Like the easines for adding water, but I didn't realize I would have to buy a filter each year.

I bought this for my daughter's room and it worked great for the first few weeks.  Now, after about half an hour, the water stops running and there is no mist.  If I turn it off and back on, it will go for another 30 minutes, but I can't get up every half hour all night.  I would suggest either a different model or a different brand.

We are giving up after owning this humidifier for 1 year, and returning it for a replacement (different model please) from Kaz.  The same issue that others mentioned continued to happen: leaking all over the table (eventually we learned to place it in a pan to save our wood surfaces),  loud grinding/whirring noise,  slow start up-- we had to coax and coax it to actually pump water upwards.  Just this week, it completely quit.

The box states Easy Care and we were interested in getting a filter-free humidifier, but the manual is so long and the cleaning instructions so cock-eyed,  it's possible we were not doing something properly.   Also, you have to keep buying a demineralization cartridge which is about the same cost as buying new filters.  A humidifier should not be that complicated to use. 

This humifidier worked for two months. Now it just makes a little sound and produces no mist. I tried to clean it. Perhaps I need to buy a new demineralization cartridge, but I almost don't want to take the risk to order one, as it may well be that the mechanism is just broken. Pretty tiresome. I'm not buying a honeywell again after this experience.

The humidifier stopped working, and I discovered that the pump was not operating.  It was misaligned and was chattering around inside its housing.  I cut some vinyl washers to use as bushings, and this solved the problem.  Two weeks later, the ultrasonic "cup" stopped causing the water to percolate.  The motor is fine, and the pump is operating, and the fan is blowing fine.  There is no mist.  Cleaning the unit has made no difference.  I have another one of these, which works just fine.  I really like the design, but I am not happy with the performance of this unit..

It lasted about three months and quit. Save your money. I checked the things the Troubleshooter suggested and still nothing. Just a little hum which means most likely the motor bit the dust. Save your money.

Worked for about 1 month and then the noise started and no water flow. The issue is with the design, the plastic piece does no move the motor and instead rubbs....

IS there a recall and replacement for this?

I purchased this product last spring and have tried using it several times but the problem I have is that I have to set it on the floor in the bedroom which is carpeted but the carpet ends up very wet after 24 hours of running the humidifier.  The water mist does not go straight up but at an angle and falls right back down to the floor.  You can see the mist falling.  So far I am not pleased with this product.  Is there another way to use it without the water saturation all around it?

I purchased this machine from wal-mart and about 2 months in the pump went bad.. took it back and got another one. Same problem. I figured probably just a fluke, who gets two bad items in less than 3 months.. 3rd new one a got, Same problem. I always thought of honeywell as a good "name brand", However, I was wrong. Learn from my mistakes.. Save your money

great unit, but problems with pump after short time having this unit. if the pump would work right this would be perfect.

I've had this for about 2 months.... and the nebulizer no longer creates mist. It's super clean thanks to some vinegar, but alas, still no mist. I see no point in spending $20 to send it back to the company and I trashed the box so I cannot take it back to Wal-mart. All in all, I'm rather disappointed in this.

I got this last year but have been using and not for a while. The problem is that it makes A LOT of noise (to the point that it keeps you away from sleep) and mine broke within 2 months of using it.  Water pumps out great exept that more waters is dripping down from the machine into my carpet. It ruined my table and did more damage.  You can get cheaper one that lasts longer than this.  And by the time you think it works great, you throw away your reciept so I can't even get warranty and all so I just threw $60ish down the drain.  I was hoping to keep using it with water dripping down but I give up now.  Buy something else that works longer than 2-3 months!

Only had 2months and mist stopped working.

Owned this unit for 6 weeks of humid bliss; then it stopped working. The pump works fine and water gets to the ultrasonic cup/speaker but no mist is generated. Look elsewhere for a better product.

worked for 3 weeks and broke

Bought this product and it works great - except it has a very loud humm when it runs.  It is so loud, and I usually can sleep through anything, that I end up turning it on for a couple hours before I go to bed (with the door closed) and then shut it off when I am in the room.

Will not buy this product again or recommend it to anyone. There has to be something similar and QUIETER out there.

Like it when it worked but stop working in two months!

had it about a month and same problem as others. no mist. water flows and fan blows but no mist. sooo disapointed. good money wasted.

Bought this from Best Buy.  It ran fine for about two months, then started producing less and less mist.  Now it produces almost none.  The pump is working and the water flows through it, but the nebulizer is not working.

The other problem is that the blue light in the unit is very bright so I had to cover the water level window with tape, so now I can't see where the water level is.

Save your money and buy something else.

I haven't had this for even a month, and it has stopped working.  I've performed all of the cleaning maintenance but to no avail.

I bought this unit a month ago and it worked fine for exactly one month for two rooms in my house.  Now it doesn't work at all.  I replaced the demineralization cartridge, cleaned everything and still doesn't work...Won't be buying a Honeywell product again.

We urgently rsuhed out to purchase a humidifier for for infant son and bought the mid-priced Honeywell model assuming this product had the quality of the Honeywell brand. Wrong.Wrong.Wrong. After about two months, the unit stopped producing a mist. Can I tell you how much fun it is to have a cranky infant waking up in the middle of the night repeatedly with a dry cough because this stupid maching stopped working. We tried cleaning it - useless. We tried calling the 1-800 helpline which is located in MA and was closed due to the weather. Needless to say next time we will buy the cheap model and purchase two for the same price we paid for this product. I will never again buy a Honeywell anything.
